In its 14 years of
existence the PRO CHILDREN FOUNDATION OF DARIEN has successfully
concluded many projects in the Darien Province, including:
We began in 1990 with 4 school dining
rooms. We currently have 100 school dining rooms.
The FUNPRODA project in Darien started
with 700 children. Today the number has increased to more than 10,000
“Darienita” children receiving food daily.
A
group of students enjoys a nutritive breakfast provided by the
Foundation at the Agua Fría #2 School Dinning Room.
The development of the
self-sustainable agricultural production program began with the
Foundation’s Model Farm in the community of “Villa Darién.” Thanks to
financing projects the number of farms has increased.
Due to the endeavors of the
PRO
CHILDREN FOUNDATION OF DARIEN in 100 educational centers in the
Province, school levels have increased and student desertion
diminished.
The experience, prestige and success
gained by the projects of the PRO CHILDREN FOUNDATION OF DARIEN
have given the Foundation the opportunity to obtain the management
and execution of important projects financed by
internationaloffering basic health services, and community
support.
Children from the Agua Fría #2 School perform dances for Rossana de
Lasso, Dora Bermúdez de Maduro and Betzaida de Delgado, in a
cultural event that took place during the distribution of school
supplies in April 2003.
